A short safari to Murchison Fall National park lasts for a minimum of three days. The park is located in the north east part of Uganda in the west Nile. The park is bisected by the river Nile which flows all its way from Lake Victoria to Egypt. The park has a number of attractions and the three days will give you a reward of glancing at the best ones.
Day 1: Kampala – Murchison Falls
You will be picked up from your place of accommodation by your driver/ guide and start your journey Northwards to Murchison Falls National Park. Murchison Falls is about 300Kms North of Kampala, through the renowned Luwero Triangle and Masindi. It normally takes between 6-7 hours according to how much you see on the way. Have lunch at Masindi and later check into the service of Red Chilli Rest Camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Game Viewing in Murchison Falls Safari Park
The day begins early as we drive down to the ferry and cross to the northern sector of the park for the game drive in search for Wildlife. In this drive we are likely to see elephants, Buffalos, Giraffes, Kobs, Water bucks, Lions and if you are lucky you can see even leopards among others. We come back to the lodge, relax around, have lunch and later in the afternoon at 2:00Pm go for the boat cruise along the River Nile for yet another but a different way of viewing wildlife from close quarters as they flock in to drink water from the banks of the mighty River Nile. We come back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Chimpanzee Tracking – Budongo Forest Tour
This last day, you will wake up very early in the morning depending on where you chose to spend a night and then leave for Budongo forest for chimp tracking. It takes normally takes 4 to 6 hours and later to track down these primates and after you will return to Kampala with en-route lunch and later check into our place of accommodation that’s the end of our safari.
